I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and feel at home in the World.

The land of vibrant music, lively mountains, and fierce hurricanes, that forges noble hearts, is the place that witnessed my birth. A place where every sunset feels like a festival and every person is a delightful story waiting to be heard.

My roots grew in Caribbean soil, but my branches reached toward every corner of the world. And as I grew, I discovered something beautiful: no matter where I went, I could still feel at home. Because home isn’t always a place; it’s a presence. It’s the shared smiles with a stranger, blooming into a family. The kindness of cultures that open their doors for hearts they’ve never met. The silent understanding between people who look nothing alike, but carry the same scars and dreams.

My wife, a living work of art from the other side of the world, from a land most of my compatriots wouldn't be able to place on a map, is the proof of this truth. With grace threaded through the fabric of her culture, she welcomed me to her heart to build a home. The union of two completely different worlds proved the world is stitched together by the spirit of one humanity, and it drove us to places we never dreamed we'd belong, not just across borders, but deep within each other’s lives.

More than a decade together, and after raising two conscious humans to the world, united and bound by our silent devotion to the shared human spirit, we know that home is us: across borders, beyond fear, through love for life.

And you. Yes, you, are part of this story. Because home isn’t just what I carry inside; it is what you bring to the world around you: the friends who stand strong through every storm, the family who open their arms across divides, the strangers who choose to lift each other up without hesitation. You are the heartbeat of hope; the living reminder that no matter our language, our border, or our skin, we are deeply connected. You are the hope that must shine bright.

I feel at home in the world because you are the heartbeat of hope; the reminder that no matter our language, our border, or our skin, we are deeply connected. We are the living proof that humanity begins beyond the edge of every country, starting in the eyes of another soul.

We are one people, walking through fire, flood, and struggle together. We are one story, written in different languages, but speaking the same truth. We are one light, flickering in the dark but refusing to go out.

Because we have all suffered enough. We've suffered from division. From silence. From being told we don't belong, or that others don’t. But the time for that story is over. Now is the time to build something better. Improve together.

So here’s what I ask of you: Be louder with your love than with your fear. See people before the power you think you hold. Walk to that next smile that breaks down walls. Speak up when it’s uncomfortable, and stand up when it’s inconvenient. Explore the world to confirm that we are all connected by our united essence. Show up for others the way you wish someone had shown up for you. Attract abundance and manifest your splendor. Pursue and nurture collaboration.

Join the movement for unity, dignity, and healing. Not tomorrow. Not when it’s easy. Now. Because we have all suffered enough, and healing begins with awakened minds. Today.

Be the reason someone feels at home in the world. Be the world that creates home for someone.

A vibrant stamp of Puerto Rico, symbolizing the island’s rich culture and the universal feeling of home that transcends borders. A map of the world symbolizing unity
