Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not a tool, but evolutionary adaptation. Even more, it will probably start using our DNA – ‘the ultimate data storage solution’ – to improve itself, if not humankind.
I do not know, why is it so difficult to acknowledge that we - as a species - evolve?
First, “humans have been altering ecosystems on a local scale for at least 50,000 years if not longer”.
Even more, an extraordinary discovery in a Moroccan mine, dated modern humans to about 300,000 years.
In fact, scientists have discovered a wealth of evidence concerning human evolution. Early human fossils have been found and researchers and students have studied the changes that occurred in the brain and body size, locomotion, diet, and other aspects regarding the way of life of more than 6,000 individuals. Therefore concluding that early human species has been around for over the past 6 million years.
But before that, we were primates, and before that something else.
Now that we have discovered the power of Deep Learning, we should welcome another stage of our evolution, instead of challenging the fundamental instructions that change our existence.
Because, AI is less than 100 years old and it is already transforming humankind. Why not simply stop calling it a tool, and begin helping us help you, by developing inclusive and equitable models that improve humankind as a whole – through evolution and not just implementation?
